Job summary

Veterans Health Administration, Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a Physician in Gastroenterology within the VA Maryland Healthcare System. Qualifications

  • MD degree from an approved medical school.
  • Current full and unrestricted medical license in the United States.
  • Residency training approved by ACGME/AOA in an accredited core specialty.
  • Board certification may be required for faculty status.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English.

Responsibilities

  • Provide outpatient and inpatient medical care within VAMHCS Gastroenterology.
  • Lead and oversee nursing and medical staff actions and care coordination.
  • Perform endoscopic procedures (e.g., upper endoscopy, colonoscopy) as qualified.
  • Contribute to teaching, education, and research within the section.
  • Participate in quality assurance, safety, and patient care improvement initiatives.
