Job summary

Veterans Health Administration in Temple, TX seeks a Gastroenterology physician to provide comprehensive GI and hepatology care in clinic and inpatient settings. You will perform endoscopic procedures, supervise residents and fellows, and participate in on-call coverage to ensure patient care continuity.

Board-eligible or -certified in Gastroenterology with internal medicine background is preferred; the EDRP program may apply to the position, with competitive salary and federal benefits.

Qualifications

• MD degree from an accredited school and successful licensure.
• Completed Internal Medicine residency approved by VA/ACGME or AOA.
• Gastroenterology fellowship with implied board eligibility/certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide GI and hepatology care in General GI and hepatology clinics.
• Perform GI procedures in endoscopy suites (EGD, colonoscopy).
• Oversee Internal Medicine residents and Gastroenterology Fellows.
• Participate in rotational on-call coverage at the Temple campus.
