Job summary

AMN Healthcare seeks a Gastroenterology physician for locum tenens support in Prescott, AZ. You will provide 24-hour call coverage with outpatient procedures from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM during on-call periods, with 6–14 call days per month.

Candidates must be Board Certified in Gastroenterology, hold an active Arizona license (or IMLC with qualification letters), and have ACLS/DEA preferred. Cerner and Provation are used for EMR. Arizona licensure and credentialing typically take 60–90 days.

Qualifications

• Board Certified in Gastroenterology is required or actively in process.
• ACLS certification is highly preferred.
• DEA registration is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide 24-hour call coverage with scheduled outpatient procedures from 8:00 AM–4:00 PM while on call.
• Perform gastroenterology procedures, including colonoscopy and EGD; ERCP/EUS optional with disclosure.
• Credentialing typically takes 60–90 days after application with a clean file.

This facility is seeking a Gastroenterology Physician for locum tenens support as they look to fill a current need.

Details & requirements for this opportunity:

Schedule: 24-hour call coverage, with scheduled outpatient procedures from 8:00 AM–4:00 PM while on call. 6–14 call days per month.

Practice Setting: Outpatient procedures; potential for future outpatient clinic coverage.

Types of Cases: Gastroenterology procedures, including colonoscopy and esophagogastroduodenoscopy. Endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography and endoscopic ultrasound are preferred but not required; candidates must disclose if they can perform them.

Credentialing Timeframe: 60–90 days after receiving a completed application with a clean file.

Electronic Medical Record: Cerner and Provation

Certifications Required: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support highly preferred; Board Certified in Gastroenterology required. Drug Enforcement Administration registration highly preferred.

Licensure Required: Active Arizona license or Interstate Medical Licensure Compact with Letter of Qualification in hand at submission.
