Confidential is seeking a Gastroenterology Physician for locum tenens coverage in North Carolina. The role involves inpatient consultations and procedures with a Monday–Friday schedule and weekend call. Credentialing typically takes 60–90 days, and Epic is the employed EMR system.

Board-certified in Gastroenterology with ACLS and BLS certifications is required, along with NC licensure or IMLC. Malpractice insurance and travel logistics are typically arranged by the recruiter.

Qualifications

• Board-certified in Gastroenterology.
• Active North Carolina licensure or IMLC.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• Experience with Epic EMR preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient gastroenterology consultations and perform inpatient procedures.
• Coordinate patient care with hospital teams and schedule procedures.
• Maintain timely credentialing and regulatory compliance.

This facility is seeking a Gastroenterology Physician for locum tenens support as they look to fill a current need.

Details & requirements for this opportunity:

Schedule: 1 week per month, Monday–Friday, 7 a.m.–5 p.m.; 1 weekend of call per month, Friday 4:30 p.m.–Monday 7:30 a.m.

Practice Setting: Inpatient

Types of Cases: Gastroenterology; inpatient consultations and procedures

Credentialing Timeframe: 60–90 days

Electronic Medical Record: Epic

Certifications Required: Board Certified in Gastroenterology, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support, and Basic Life Support

Licensure Required: North Carolina license only or Interstate Medical Licensure Compact
