Job summary

AMN Healthcare is seeking a Gastroenterology Physician for locum tenens coverage in Richmond, VA. Start date ASAP with weekend night shifts and a weekend pay rate. The role requires board certification and Virginia licensure to cover GI emergencies including ERCP.

Shifts include a 7a-5p schedule with 24-hour on-call and additional Friday-Monday night coverage as needed. Meditech EMR usage, no dedicated support staff, and malpractice insurance arrangements are typical for this assignment.

Qualifications

• Board certification in gastroenterology is required.
• Virginia state medical license is required.
• Ability to provide emergency coverage including ERCP.

Responsibilities

• Provide gastroenterology services during locum tenens assignment.
• Cover Emergency Gastroenterology calls and weekend/weekday shifts as scheduled.
• Collaborate with hospital staff to ensure patient care continuity.
