A leading healthcare provider is seeking a Gastroenterologist Hospitalist for a role in Charleston, West Virginia. The position involves full-time inpatient coverage with a 7 on / 7 off rotation, managing a patient population of 18 years and older. The ideal candidate will perform general GI procedures and work with a supportive team of APPs. This role offers a structured schedule and the opportunity to work in a large regional referral center.

Qualifications

• Experience in general GI procedures, colonoscopies, and EGD.

Specialty: Gastroenterologist Hospitalist

Start Date: As soon as credentialed, 4/21/25

Contract Length: 120 days to 6 months

Shift Details: 7:30 am - 5:30 pm

Schedule: 7 on - 7 off

Work Details:

• Support staff: APPs during daytime hours, Monday to Friday. Weekends covered by a 3-team member approach for inpatient consults.
• Coverage needed per month: Full-time coverage with 2 MDs sharing a 7 on / 7 off rotation.
• Patients per day: 20-25 patients
• Patient population/age: 18 years and older
• Department description: Inpatient hospitalist at Memorial Division, Endoscopy department, Charleston Area Medical Center
• EMR: Cerner
• Hospital bed size: 1,138-bed regional referral center comprising seven hospitals: CAMC General Hospital, CAMC Greenbrier Valley Medical Center, CAMC Memorial Hospital, CAMC Plateau Medical Center, CAMC Charleston Surgical Hospital, CAMC Teays Valley Hospital, and others.
• Special procedures: General GI procedures, colonoscopies, and EGD
