A healthcare facility in West Virginia is seeking a Gastroenterologist for a locum tenens position starting 08/18/2025. This 84-day assignment requires coverage for weekday shifts from 8 am to 5 pm, with some weekend work including 4 hours of rounding.

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8 am - 5 pm, some weekends (4 hours rounding Saturday and Sunday)

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Perform general gastroenterology procedures
• Conduct endoscopies and other scopes
• Provide gastroenterology consults
• Perform ERCP procedures, particularly for inpatient care
• Conduct EUS (Endoscopic Ultrasound) procedures
• Manage both inpatient and outpatient gastroenterology cases
• Participate in weekend rounding (4 hours on Saturdays and Sundays)
• Utilize Epic EMR system for documentation and patient management
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
• Maintain clear communication with patients, families, and healthcare team members

Additional Information:

• Must be a board-certified Gastroenterologist
• Active West Virginia medical license required
• ERCP and EUS experience is essential
• Familiarity with Epic EMR is preferred
