Infinite Medical P.C. is seeking a compassionate Gastroenterology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team in Woodbridge, NJ. This full-time role focuses on delivering comprehensive GI care to residents in skilled nursing and long-term care settings.

You will assess, diagnose, and manage GI conditions, order tests, and develop treatment plans in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team. A current NP/PA license, DEA, and GI experience are required.

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, or Physician license
• DEA License
• CPR/BCLS certified
• Master's Degree in Nursing
• Gastroenterology experience
• Experience in long-term care or skilled nursing facilities
• EMR documentation experience (Sigma, Visual, PCC)

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive healthcare services and coordinate patient care
• Assess and treat patients with gastrointestinal diseases and conditions
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests
• Develop accurate diagnoses and treatment plans
• Prescribe medication and administer treatments
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team for seamless coordination of care
• Maintain patient records and ensure safety and quality of care

Job Summary

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive healthcare services and coordinate patient care
• Assessing and treating patients with gastrointestinal diseases and conditions
• Work closely with a team of healthcare professionals
• Assess, diagnose, and treat residents' physical and mental well-being
• Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history reviews and physical examinations
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests
• Develop accurate diagnoses and treatment plans
• Prescribe medication and administer treatments
• Provide counseling to residents and their families
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team for seamless coordination of care
• Manage chronic conditions and monitor progress
• Make appropriate adjustments to care plans

• Create a safe and nurturing environment for elderly residents in the nursing home

Requirements

• Minimum 6 months of experience in long-term care or a skilled nursing facility
• Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, or Physician license
• DEA License
• CPR BCLS/BLS certified
• Must hold a Master's Degree in Nursing
• Completed a degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
• A year of experience in Gastroenterology
• Preferred experience in Documenting EMR (Sigma, Visual, PCC, etc.): training provided
• Must have great organizational and time management skills.
• Prolonged standing and walking on facility floors. Carrying a medical bag, laptop, tablet or diagnostic equipment. Bending, stooping, or assisting with positioning during exams. Navigating multi-level buildings, potentially with stairs or uneven surfaces. Lifting/moving patients.
