Infinite Medical P.C. seeks a Gastroenterology Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant to provide comprehensive GI care across multiple facilities in New York.

You will assess, diagnose, and manage residents’ GI conditions, coordinate with a dedicated team, and contribute to high-quality, person-centered geriatric care. The role requires an NP/PA license, DEA, BCLS/BLS, and a Master’s in Nursing, with preference for long-term care and GI experience.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in nursing required; NP program accredited.
• Active, unrestricted NP/PA/Physician license and DEA license.
• Experience in long-term care and gastroenterology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive healthcare services and coordinate patient care
• Assess and treat patients with gastrointestinal diseases and conditions
• Work closely with a team of healthcare professionals
• Assess, diagnose, and treat residents' physical and mental well-being
• Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history reviews and physical examinations
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests
• Develop accurate diagnoses and treatment plans
• Prescribe medication and administer treatments
• Provide counseling to residents and their families
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team for seamless coordination of care
• Manage chronic conditions and monitor progress
• Make appropriate adjustments to care plans
• Commitment to person-centered care
• Create a safe and nurturing environment for elderly residents in the nursing home

Requirements

• Minimum 6 months of experience in long-term care or a skilled nursing facility
• Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, or Physician license
• DEA License
• CPR BCLS/BLS certified
• Must hold a Master's Degree in Nursing
• Completed a degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
• A year of experience in Gastroenterology
• Preferred experience in Documenting EMR (Sigma, Visual, PCC, etc.): training provided
• Must have great organizational and time management skills.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 20 pounds and stand / walk / work on your feet up to 6-8 hours per day
