Job summary

GANM is seeking an energetic Nurse Practitioner to join our gastroenterology team in Oxford, MS. You will participate in routine and urgent follow-up visits, collaborate with physicians, and order tests and medications as part of comprehensive patient care.

You will provide health prevention guidance, triage calls, and ensure continuity of care between visits in a busy office setting. Strong NP credentials and clinic experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Must hold RN license and NP certification with prescriptive authority.
• Graduate of an accredited NP program.
• Three years of professional nursing experience in a clinic or hospital.
• Strong interpersonal skills and knowledge of billing processes.

Responsibilities

• Routine follow-up visits in the office.
• Urgent follow-up visits in the office.
• Urgent and provider requested consults and new patient visits.
• G-tube changes.
• Hemorrhoid banding (after training).
• Large volume paracentesis (as permitted).
• Communicate patient care activities to the physician (visit notes/test results).
• Collaborate with physicians in managing acute and long-term medical needs of patients.
