Job summary

Gastroenterology & Hepatology Institute of Nevada in Henderson, NV seeks an experienced Nurse Practitioner to join our collaborative GI team. You will evaluate and manage patients with GI conditions in outpatient and inpatient settings, provide high-quality, patient-centered care, and work closely with gastroenterologists and staff.

Requirements include NP board certification, Nevada license or eligibility, ACLS and BLS, and prior outpatient/inpatient GI experience.

Qualifications

• Board-certified NP; Nevada license or eligibility.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• Experience in outpatient and inpatient clinical practice.
• Gastroenterology experience preferred, other specialties considered.

Responsibilities

• Take comprehensive histories and perform physical examinations.
• Evaluate and manage a range of GI conditions.
• Take GI call days monthly at the hospital.
• Develop and implement GI treatment plans.
• Order and interpret labs and diagnostic studies.
• Manage follow-up visits and chronic GI conditions.
• Educate patients on GI health and prevention.
• Coordinate care with physicians and staff.
• Maintain timely medical documentation and records.
