Job summary

Marshfield Clinic in Marshfield, WI seeks a Gastroenterology Nurse Practitioner to provide advanced nursing care for patients with GI disorders in collaboration with a gastroenterologist. You will conduct comprehensive histories, develop treatment plans, manage acute and chronic GI conditions, and educate patients on prevention and management.

Responsibilities include ordering, performing, and interpreting GI diagnostics (endoscopy, colonoscopy, biopsies, labs, imaging); prescribing medications;

Qualifications

• Master’s or Doctorate degree from an accredited NP program.
• Current RN and NP licensure in each state of practice.
• DEA permit to prescribe controlled substances in each state of practice.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced nursing care to GI patients in collaboration with a gastroenterologist.
• Perform comprehensive history and physical examinations for GI patients.
• Diagnose and manage GI disorders (GERD, IBS, IBD, liver disease, screening).
• Order, perform, and interpret endoscopy, colonoscopy, biopsies, labs, and imaging.
• Educate patients and families on nutrition and disease management.
• Maintain accurate EHR documentation and participate in quality improvements.
