Qualifications

• Minimum one year of recent experience in a medical facility as a medical assistant.
• Experience in a Gastroenterology practice is preferred.
• Knowledge of health care field and EMR systems.

Responsibilities

• Assists physicians with patient care and clinical tasks, including patient history, vital signs, preparing for exams, and charting.
• Handles clerical duties: appointment scheduling, records handling, insurance verification, and patient check-in/check-out.
• Maintains patient flow, promotes patient rights, responds to emergencies, and supports staff with assigned tasks.
• Other duties as assigned.
