Job summary

Connecticut GI/CGA, a division of GI Alliance, seeks a full-time Medical Assistant for the Hartford Care Center. You will room patients, take vital signs, document in Epic EMR, and support physicians and advanced practitioners to deliver compassionate care.

This role requires at least one year of MA experience; graduation from an accredited MA program preferred. Travel to satellite offices may be needed; schedule is Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm, with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Graduated from an Accredited MA Program (preferred).
• At least one full year of Medical Assistant experience.
• Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Broad knowledge of medical terminology (1+ year of healthcare experience).
• EMR experience is ideal, Epic experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and obtain vital signs using Epic EMR.
• Update patient medical history and medication list.
• Document all patient phone calls under provider guidance.
• Familiar with prior authorization process.
• Asking triage questions and accurately recording in Epic.
