Job summary

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an approved school.
• Current full, unrestricted medical license in the US.
• Completed approved residency in a core GI specialty.
• Board Certified in Gastroenterology.
• Proficiency in English and ability to meet physical requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct outpatient GI clinical care to Veterans.
• Lead and supervise the gastroenterology section and staff.
• Develop and implement policies, procedures, and teaching activities.
• Coordinate with UH JABSOM residents and students and external clinics.
• Ensure compliance with medical staff bylaws, JC standards, and regulations.
