Job summary

U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs in Honolulu, HI seeks a Staff Physician specializing in Gastroenterology to provide outpatient GI care and consult with VAPIHCS staff.

The gastroenterologist will perform GI and liver disease management, coordinate with primary care, and supervise APRN staff while may have protected research time; travel to CBOCs as needed; requires board certification or eligibility and a full medical license.

Qualifications

• Must have MD/DO with board certification or eligibility in Gastroenterology by ABIM or equivalent
• Proficiency in English (spoken and written)
• Current full and unrestricted medical license in US or territories
• Experience in manage GI diseases in outpatient settings is preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide direct outpatient clinical gastroenterology care and consultation to GI patients
• Coordinate care with primary care and VAPIHCS staff
• Supervise APPs and contribute to staff education and development
• Travel to CBOCs within VAPIHCS as required
