Job summary

Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus, OH, seeks an Advanced Practice Provider (APN/PA) for medical consulting in the Behavioral Health Pavilion on a 1.0 FTE schedule. 80% of work during Sep–May with 3–4 shifts weekly; 20% during Jun–Aug with 12-hour shifts.

Responsibilities include patient assessment, evidence-based procedures, staff education, and ongoing quality improvement. Ohio licensure and MSN required; national APRN/PA certification maintained.

Qualifications

• Master of Science degree or equivalent provision.
• Licensed as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA) in Ohio.
• Maintains national certification as APRN or PA.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patients and/or populations; develops, implements and evaluates plans of care; documents and communicates information clearly.
• Performs diagnostic and therapeutic procedures according to guidelines for patient care.
• Serves as a clinical expert for policies, procedures, documentation, and skills.
• Educates, trains and develops new and existing staff members.
• Engages in quality improvement and uses informatics to optimize outcomes.
• Contributes to division goals and hospital strategic plan.
