Trinity Health’s Holy Cross Medical Group in Fort Lauderdale seeks a full-time APRN/NP or PA to join a growing Gastroenterology team. This role supports inpatients and outpatients, with a schedule Monday–Friday, 8a–5p, across Fort Lauderdale and Deerfield Beach locations, including a new downtown Fort Lauderdale Center opening Summer 2027.

You’ll join a cohesive group of physicians and advanced practitioners, delivering endoscopic care, cancer screening, and diagnostic/therapeutic GI services in

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program.
• National APRN certification or PA board certification.
• Current Florida license for PA/NP.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments including history, physical examinations, and interpretation of diagnostic studies.
• Manage chronic conditions and coordinate care across inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Evaluate and triage new patient referrals and follow-up visits.
• Order and interpret laboratory studies and diagnostic testing.
• Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans with collaborating physicians.
• Provide patient education on disease prevention and lifestyle modifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments including history, physical examinations, and interpretation of diagnostic studies.
• Manage chronic conditions
• Evaluate and triage new patient referrals and follow-up visits.
• Order and interpret laboratory studies, diagnostic testing
• Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans with collaborating physicians
• Provide patient education on disease prevention, lifestyle modifications, and medication management
• Assist with hospital rounding, consults, and discharge planning (if applicable)
• Participate in care coordination with other providers and specialties.
• Document all patient encounters thoroughly and accurately in the Electronic Medical Record
• Maintain compliance with organizational policies, regulatory guidelines, and best practice standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner Program
• National Advanced Practice Registered Nurse Certification (APRN) OR national board certification as a Physician Assistant.
• Current Physician Assistant or APRN license in the State of Florida.
• Basic Life Support

Preferred Skills

• 2+ years of clinical experience with an interest in gastrointestinal diseases
• Experience with Epic Electronic Medical Record
• Bilingual in Russian a plus
