Job summary

Loyal Source Government Services seeks four full-time Gastroenterologist Physicians to support the Boise VA Medical Center in Boise, ID. You will provide comprehensive GI services including colonoscopy and Esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGD) for veteran patients.

This 1099 position offers a pay rate of $244.54 per hour with a schedule aligned to VA hours and on-call duties as required.

Qualifications

• Must hold an active, full, current, and unrestricted license to practice medicine as required by the applicable state.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible by ABIM in Gastroenterology.
• Must have BLS and ACLS.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in gastroenterology.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive clinical gastroenterology services including colonoscopy and EGD.
• Provide consultative services at the patient’s bedside or in outpatient clinic settings.
• Provide notification of test results for patients receiving care.
• Follow established medication policies; no sample medications.
• Provide discharge education and follow-up instructions coordinated with next care setting.

Loyal Source Government Services is looking for 4 full-time Gastroenterologist Physicians to provide services to Boise VA Medical Center located in Boise, ID.

Job Summary: Gastroenterologists must be efficient, motivated, focuses on patient care with our Veteran population. Gastroenterologists are expected to maintain a high degree of accurate productivity and performance while working with our VA community at the Boise VA Medical Center in Boise, ID. Gastroenterologists are required to deliver high-quality, compassionate, and consistent care to individuals.

Pay Rate: $244.54/hr

Duties

• Provide comprehensive clinical gastroenterology services including the full range of colonoscopy and Esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGD)
• Provide consultative services at the patient’s bedside of the patient is not ambulatory and, in the clinic, setting if the patient can report to the outpatient clinic.
• Provide notification of test results for patients receiving care
• Follow all established medication policies and procedures. No sample medications shall be provided to patients.
• Provide discharge education and follow up instructions that are coordinated with the next care setting for all Gastroenterology clinical or surgical patients.
• Attend all staff meetings as required by the facility Chief of Service, Chief of Staff, or designee.
• Complete the appropriate QM/PI documentation pertaining to all procedures, complications, and outcome of expectations.

Qualifications

• Must hold an active, full, current, and unrestricted license to practice medicine if required by the State, Territory, or Commonwealth in which the credential is issued.
• Must be Board Certified or Board Eligibel by the American Internal Medicine (ABIM) in Gastroenterology
• Must have BLS andACLS
• Must have a minimum of 1 year of experience in gastroenterology

• VA Business Hours: 24/7, including weekends and Federal Holidays.
• Work Schedule
• Shifts:
  • Monday - Friday: 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
  • Weeknight On Call: Monday – Friday 4:30 p.m. – 8:00 a.m.
  • Weekend On Call: 1 weekend in every 4 weekend rotations
  • Holiday On Call: 1 holiday in every 4 holiday rotations
• 1099 Position
