Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive gastroenterology services including colonoscopy and EGD.
  • Provide bedside and clinic consults for non-ambulatory patients as applicable.
  • Notify and communicate test results to supervising providers and patients.
  • Adhere to medication policies; no samples provided.
  • Coordinate discharge education and follow-up across care settings.
  • Attend staff meetings as required by leadership and designee.
  • Complete QM/PI documentation for procedures, complications, and outcomes.

Loyal Source Government Services is looking for 4 full-time Gastroenterologist Physicians to provide services to Boise VA Medical Center located in Boise, ID

Job Summary: Gastroenterologists must be efficient, motivated, focuses on patient care with our Veteran population. Gastroenterologists are expected to maintain a high degree of accurate productivity and performance while working with our VA community at the Boise VA Medical Center in Boise, ID.Gastroenterologists are required to deliver high-quality, compassionate, and consistent care to individuals.

Pay Rate

$244.54/hr

Duties:
  • Provide comprehensive clinical gastroenterology services including the full range of colonoscopy and Esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGD)
  • Provide consultative services at the patient’s bedside of the patient is not ambulatory and, in the clinic, setting if the patient can report to the outpatient clinic.
  • Provide notification of test results for patients receiving care
  • Follow all established medication policies and procedures. No sample medications shall be provided to patients.
  • Provide discharge education and follow up instructions that are coordinated with the next care setting for all Gastroenterology clinical or surgical patients.
  • Attend all staff meetings as required by the facility Chief of Service, Chief of Staff, or designee.
  • Complete the appropriate QM/PI documentation pertaining to all procedures, complications, and outcome of expectations.
Qualifications:
  • Must hold an active, full, current, and unrestricted license to practice medicine if required by the State, Territory, or Commonwealth in which the credential is issued.
  • Must be Board Certified or Board Eligibel by the American Internal Medicine (ABIM) in Gastroenterology
  • Must have BLS andACLS
  • Must have a minimum of 1 year of experience in gastroenterology
Additional Information:

VA Business Hours: 24/7, including weekends and Federal Holidays.

Work Schedule

Shifts:

    • Monday – Friday: 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
    • Weeknight On Call: Monday – Friday 4:30 p.m. – 8:00 a.m.
    • Weekend On Call: 1 weekend in every 4 weekend rotations
    • Holiday On Call: 1 holiday in every 4 holiday rotations
  • 1099 Position
