Job summary

Aptive Resources seeks Board Certified or Board Eligible Gastroenterologists to provide on-site GI physician services at the Boise VA Medical Center in Boise, ID. The role emphasizes the full range of clinical and procedural gastroenterology care for Veterans, with approximately 95% direct patient care.

Schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, with rotational on-call; full-time contract (W2 or 1099 available); malpractice coverage provided.

Qualifications

• MD or DO with full, unrestricted license to practice in the U.S.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology (ABIM).
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Current DEA registration and NPI.
• Current CME meeting standards.
• Ability to obtain VA credentialing (VetPro).
• Immunizations including TB, MMR, varicella, Tdap, influenza, Hep B.
• Fluent English, both spoken and written.

Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient GI clinic services and ambulatory evaluations.
• Perform endoscopic procedures (colonoscopy, EGD) with biopsies.
• Communicate test results to patients and providers per VA rules.
• Document care in CPRS and Provation EHRs.
• Educate and supervise residents/fellows in GI service.
• Participate in QA/QI and safety programs.
• Attend required staff meetings.
