Job summary

Dallas VA Medical Center seeks an energetic Gastroenterologist with expertise in general gastroenterology to lead inpatient and outpatient GI services and to participate in procedures and teaching. Collaboration with UT Southwestern and other VA hospitals is encouraged.

The position supports a strong academic environment with an ACGME-accredited GI/hepatology fellowship and opportunities for research and quality improvement. EDRP options may be available.

Qualifications

• MD degree from an school approved by VA for the year completed.
• Unrestricted medical license in the United States.
• Completed residency in a core specialty leading to board eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Promotes and conducts high-quality patient-centric clinical care, inpatient and outpatient GI duties.
• Provide GI consultation, procedures, and participate in night and weekend call.
• Engage in research, admin, and quality improvement activities.
• Collaborate with UT Southwestern and other VA hospitals.
• Teach fellows, residents, and medical students in an academic setting.

Education

Doctor of Medicine (MD) or equivalent

Residency training approved by ACGME/AOA
