Job summary

Albany Medical College seeks general Gastroenterologists to join the Division of Gastroenterology, handling a wide range of complex patients from across northeastern New York.

You will work in an endoscopy suite with state-of-the-art technologies, collaborate with surgeons and other GI specialists, perform endoscopic procedures, teach students and fellows, and engage in research and scholarly activities.

Qualifications

• MD or DO with board certification in Gastroenterology and internal medicine board eligibility or certification.
• Experience diagnosing and managing a broad range of gastrointestinal conditions.
• Active and unrestricted NY medical license or eligibility for licensure.

Responsibilities

• Work in an endoscopy suite equipped with state-of-the-art diagnostic and therapeutic technologies, with anesthesia support.
• Collaborate with colorectal, oncologic and trauma surgeons, interventional radiologists, pediatric GI, GI pathologists and infusion clinic.
• Perform various endoscopic procedures.
• Teach medical students, residents and fellows.
• Conduct research and scholarly work.
