Job summary

Albany Medical College is seeking general Gastroenterologists to join the Division of Gastroenterology and care for patients across northeastern New York. You will work in an endoscopy suite with state-of-the-art technologies and anesthesia support, collaborating with surgeons, interventional radiologists, GI pathologists and an on-site infusion clinic.

The role includes performing endoscopic procedures, teaching medical students, residents and fellows, and conducting research.

Qualifications

• MD or DO with board certification in Internal Medicine and board eligibility or board certification in Gastroenterology
• Experience diagnosing and managing a broad range of gastrointestinal conditions
• Active and unrestricted medical license or eligibility for licensure in New York State
• Strong dedication to providing high-quality, patient centered care across diverse populations

Responsibilities

• Work in an endoscopy suite equipped with state-of-the-art diagnostic and therapeutic technologies, along with anesthesia support
• Collaborate with colorectal, oncologic and trauma surgeons, interventional radiologists, pediatric gastroenterologists, GI pathologists and an on-site infusion clinic
• Perform various endoscopic procedures
• Teach medical students, residents and fellows
• Conduct research and perform scholarly work
