Job summary

Unio Health Partners in California is seeking a Physician/Gastroenterologist to deliver comprehensive GI care across our network. You will diagnose, treat and manage digestive diseases, perform endoscopies and biopsies, and collaborate with an integrated team to optimize patient outcomes.

The ideal candidate holds a CA medical license, a current DEA license, residency in gastroenterology, and at least 3 years of experience, with board certification or eligibility.

  • Current California Medical License is required.
  • DEA license and board certification or eligibility in Gastroenterology.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and treat digestive and gastrointestinal diseases and disorders.
  • Document or review patients' histories.
  • Order and interpret the results of diagnostic tests.
  • Perform diagnostic procedures, such as endoscopies, colonoscopies, and biopsies.
  • Examine patients using related equipment to determine the nature and extent of disorders.

Position Summary

The Physician/Gastroenterologist is responsible for providing comprehensive medical care to patients with digestive and gastrointestinal diseases and disorders. The Gastroenterologist will evaluate and diagnose patients, develop treatment plans, and ensure appropriate follow-up care. This role will also monitor the progress of patients and adjust treatment plans as needed. Communication with other physicians, staff, and patients is paramount in this position to ensure that patient needs are met effectively and efficiently.


What you will be doing


  • Diagnose or treat digestive and gastrointestinal diseases and disorders.

  • Document or review patients' histories.

  • Order and interpret the results of diagnostic tests.

  • Perform diagnostic procedures, such as endoscopies, colonoscopies, and biopsies.

  • Examine patients using equipment, such as radiograph (x-ray) machines and fluoroscopes, to determine the nature and extent of disorder or injury.

  • Prescribe or administer medications and treatments to patients.


What You Will Bring To The Team


  • Current DEA License

  • Candidates must be board-certified/eligible in Gastroenterology

  • Current California Physician License

  • Completion of a residency program in Gastroenterology

  • Minimum 3 years of experience
