Job summary

Qualifications

• B.S. in Civil/Mechanical or related field; 2–4 years of utility engineering experience.
• Proficient with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) to perform tasks.
• Experience with ESRI GIS, GPS, and modeling software for design work.
• Alabama Driver's License; CPR/First Aid; safety training as scheduled.

Responsibilities

• Plan, evaluate, and design distribution systems for gas, water, and wastewater utilities.
• Prepare plans, specs, and cost estimates for construction and maintenance.
• Coordinate with customers, developers, and outside engineers on utility projects.
• Perform field work: right-of-way, easement locations, GPS, level, and transit.
• Ensure PHMSA compliance and maintain records for regulatory bodies.
