Role Overview

As a Gas Utility Laborer, you'll receive 1-4 weeks of paid training to develop essential skills for safe and efficient work in the field. You'll work under an experienced Foreman, alongside skilled Equipment Operators and Pipefitters, gaining hands-on experience to build a strong foundation in the gas utility trade. This role offers the chance to develop specialized skills in excavating, trenching, shoring, and more.

Responsibilities

1. Use hand tools to dig around existing utility structures to prevent damage.
2. Load and unload equipment and materials.
3. Keep the worksite clean and organized, free from hazards.
4. Perform maintenance and cleaning on vehicles and equipment.
5. Maintain all industry required Operator Qualifications.
6. Perform other tasks as requested by leadership.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Strong desire to learn a new trade.

Work Environment

• Outdoor worksites with potential extreme weather conditions.

• Work within the "red zone" of heavy equipment.
• Requires quick hand-eye coordination and alertness.
