Job summary

Atmos Energy is seeking a field service/utility worker in Plano, TX to respond to customer service requests, perform meter reading duties, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance. You will install and operate Wireless Meter Reading equipment, communicate effectively with customers, and document all tasks accurately.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, and OQ/OJT readiness.

Qualifications

• Requires ability to communicate with internal/external customers to provide explanations and information.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Operator Qualifications (OQ) and OJT training completed or in progress.

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer requests for service including connections and disconnections as qualified.
• Inform customers of needed repairs and ensure understanding and satisfaction with work.
• Install, program, and operate Wireless Meter Reading (WMR) equipment as required.
• Read meters and record usage for billing.
• Maintain accurate records and reports to comply with company and regulatory requirements.
