Job summary

Quest Defense Systems & Solutions is seeking a Mechanical Integrity Engineer focused on gas turbine structures to perform structural analyses and substantiation for engine components. The role involves FEA, hand calculations, and documenting findings to support design decisions and customer requirements.

The ideal candidate has a mechanical or aerospace engineering background with experience in fatigue and durability, and proficiency with major CAE tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering from an accredited university.
• 2+ years of gas turbine structural analysis or related aerospace structures experience.
• Strong understanding of fatigue, fracture mechanics, strength and durability principles.
• Experience using FEA or hand calculations to support design decisions.
• Ability to document analysis plans, methods, results, and conclusions clearly.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural and mechanical integrity analyses for gas turbine components and systems.
• Use FEA and hand calculations to support design decisions and substantiation.
• Evaluate durability, low-cycle fatigue, fatigue life, and fracture mechanics aspects.
• Prepare and modify CAE models and mesh preparation with CAE tools.
• Document analysis plans, results, and conclusions for customer programs.
