Job summary

Quest Defense Systems & Solutions is seeking a Mechanical Engineer, Integrity/Structures, to perform structural analysis and substantiation for gas turbine engine components. You will apply FEA, hand calculations, and fatigue/fracture mechanics to evaluate designs and support program reviews.

You will use CAE tools such as ANSYS, Siemens Simcenter, Nastran/Patran, and ABAQUS to document findings and ensure components meet durability requirements while collaborating across engineering teams and

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering from an accredited university.
2+ years of gas turbine structural analysis or related aerospace structures experience.
Proficiency with CAE tools for structural analyses.
Ability to document analyses clearly and concisely.

Responsibilities

Perform structural and mechanical integrity analysis for gas turbine components.
Use FEA and hand calculations to support design decisions and substantiation.
Evaluate durability, strength, fatigue life, and fracture mechanics.
Prepare models and run CAE tools (ANSYS Classic, ANSYS Workbench, Siemens Simcenter, Nastran/Patran, ABAQUS).
Document analyses, participate in reviews, and communicate findings clearly to teams and customers.
Collaborate across engineering teams to solve complex structural challenges.
Prepare technical reports and presentations detailing methods, results, and next steps.
