Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a Proposal Engineer to develop technical content for gas turbine project proposals in the United States. You will collaborate with Commercial Operations, Product Engineering and Product Management to win profitable projects.

You will evaluate customer requirements, craft compliant responses to RFPs, and develop costing while ensuring timely delivery. A Bachelor's in engineering or equivalent experience is required, and U.S. work authorization is mandatory.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in engineering or 9+ years in Gas Turbine engineering.
• 5 years of engineering/Technology, Customer Bid & Proposal experience in Gas Turbine and/or Gas Power equipment.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical content of proposals for GEV Combined Cycle power plant configurations.
• Coordinate evaluation of customer requirements via RFP to define scope of supply.
• Develop comments and exceptions to RFP showing compliance or gaps.
• Develop expertise in gas turbine technology and apply policy/strategy.
• Identify special customer requirements and coordinate with engineering/sourcing for competitive solutions.
• Document configurations and costing for proposal use.
• Clearly communicate strategy behind configuration and costing.
• Attend internal project meetings and customer meetings during negotiations.
• Interpret customer requirements to ensure GE’s competitive position.
• Ensure on-time completion of proposal activities.
