Job summary

Basin Electric Power Cooperative at Pioneer Generation Station near Williston, ND seeks an experienced technician to operate and maintain gas turbine and engine generating units and related plant systems. Qualifications

• Completion of a certificate program or associate’s degree in Process Technology, Power Generation Technology or related.
• A high school diploma or equivalent (GED or HSED) with 2 years of maintenance or operations experience in a power plant.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain gas turbine and reciprocating engine generating units and related plant systems.
• Perform preventative, scheduled and unscheduled basic maintenance and troubleshoot issues.
• Monitor Day-ahead market awards and engine start/stop schedules.
• Enter outages and derates into the PCI software system and manage clearances for inspections.
