Job summary

GibsonCity Energy is seeking an Operations and Maintenance Technician for a 270 MW gas-fired, simple-cycle plant in Gibson City, IL. The role requires extensive turbine experience, strong safety discipline, and the ability to work nights and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities include testing, maintaining and troubleshooting turbine systems, documenting work, and contributing to preventive maintenance programs while adhering to company and insurance requirements.

Qualifications

• Gas turbine operations and maintenance experience.
• Experience with Siemens control systems.
• Valid driver’s license with travel flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Perform safe, professional operations and maintenance on gas turbine equipment.
• Ensure unit reliability, efficiency, and compliance with safety/environmental standards.
• Troubleshoot and calibrate electrical, instrumentation, and controls components using schematics and manuals.
• Maintain documentation for reporting, data entry and archiving.
• Develop and follow preventive maintenance procedures and SOPs.
• Support safety programs to minimize injuries and losses.
