Job summary

Aerodyn Engineering, LLC in Indianapolis, IN is hiring an Instrumentation Lab Technician for 1st shift. You will apply, check, and troubleshoot sensors on gas turbine hardware, install strain gages and instrumentation leads, and build wire harnesses for testing in our lab and at customer sites.

Requires experience with sensors (pressure, thermocouples, strain gauges, accelerometers), read schematics, and travel to sites. U.S. citizenship is required for security clearance.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of engine sensor application and troubleshooting experience.
• Strong ability to read electrical schematics and blueprints.
• MET/EET/AP certifications preferred.
• U.S. Citizenship required for security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Apply and check instrumentation using portable spot-welding and related techniques.
• Install strain gages and instrumentation leads on customer-supplied hardware.
• Build and check wire and cable harnesses for testing.
• Use DVMs, leak-check equipment, calipers, and hand tools per procedure.
• Read schematics, wiring diagrams, and blueprints.
• Keep accurate job and shift records, and maintain lab equipment.
• Travel to customer sites to support instrumentation work.
