Job summary

Halian | Managed Services seeks a Gas Turbine Control Software Engineer to design and implement advanced control software for gas turbine systems used in global power generation facilities.

The role covers the full project lifecycle from design and development to customer acceptance testing, commissioning, and field startup, with emphasis on DCS, HMI, and control algorithm development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level degree in a relevant engineering field is required.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in industrial controls or power generation.
• Experience with DCS and HMI development is essential.
• Knowledge of P&IDs, SAMA diagrams, and process narratives is needed.
• Experience with FAT, commissioning, or startup activities is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop control software for gas turbine control systems.
• Review specifications and define project deliverables while assessing risks.
• Convert diagrams and narratives into DCS logic and HMI graphics.
• Develop control algorithms to optimize performance and reliability.
• Lead FAT and validation using closed-loop simulations.
• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and project teams throughout lifecycle.
• Support field commissioning, startup, and customer training.
• Provide technical support to customers and field personnel.
