Job summary

Tucson Electric Power is seeking Gas Engineer I & II to join UNSG Gas Engineering in Prescott. You will perform gas engineering studies, validate materials and equipment, and build hydraulic models to guide system improvements and budgets.

Level I/II responsibilities include assisting with GIS, pipeline design, and CIP evaluations, while ensuring compliance with DOT and API standards. Travel across UNS Energy territories is required.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years’ experience in gas industry or engineering field.
• BS or equivalent in mechanical or civil engineering preferred.
• Knowledge of GIS/CAD applications and gas facilities construction helpful.

Responsibilities

• Perform gas engineering studies and evaluate designs for facilities.
• Create and maintain hydraulic models using Synergi Gas.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local pipeline safety regulations.
• Forecast budgets and assist in capital projects and CIP evaluations.
• Travel throughout UNS Gas territories as needed.
