Job summary

UniSource Energy Services seeks Gas Engineer I & II to perform gas engineering studies, validate materials, and build hydraulic models using Synergi Gas for statewide systems. The role supports safety, code compliance, and budget planning in Arizona, with travel across UNSG territories.

Requirements include a BSCE/BSME or related degree, 1–3 years in gas/engineering, and strong communication skills. This is a full-time, exempt position within the UNSG Gas Engineering unit.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years’ experience in the gas industry or engineering field.
• BSME preferred, other engineering degrees considered.
• Gas utility experience or exposure preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists with GIS, pipeline design, and CIP evaluation.
• Forecasts and analyzes budgets for the department.
• Performs engineering calculations (SMYS, loading, etc.).
• Analyzes gas piping systems using Synergi Gas for improvements.
• Ensures compliance with federal/state codes and company procedures.
