UNS Energy Corporation is seeking a Gas Engineer I & II to join the UNSG Gas Engineering team in Flagstaff or Prescott. You will perform gas engineering studies, build hydraulic models using Synergi Gas, and support initiatives to meet business objectives within safety and regulatory frameworks.

This role requires 1–3 years in the gas industry, a BS in Mechanical or Civil Engineering, and experience with GIS/CAD. Travel to local areas and DOT/PHMSA compliance are part of the duties.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years’ experience in the gas industry or engineering field.
• Gas utility experience preferred.
• Valid AZ driver’s license; DOT/PHMSA random testing as required.

Responsabilités

• Assist departmental staff with GIS, pipeline design, as-built, and CIP evaluation and redesign.
• Design construction drawings for Interconnects, Regulator Stations, and Large Metering Stations with Measurement personnel.
• Ensure conformance with federal pipeline safety codes and modify programs as needed to meet compliance.
• Stay current with federal, state and local gas pipeline laws and respond to emergencies as needed.
