Peoples Gas Light & Coke Co, a subsidiary of WEC Energy Group, is offering an Intern- Gas Storage Engineering in Fisher, Illinois. This program provides hands-on experience in underground gas storage, LNG processes, and field piping while supporting engineers on multiple projects.

The role targets students enrolled in a four-year degree program in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, Systems, or Petroleum Engineering with a minimum 2.8 GPA and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a four-year degree program (or higher).
• Minimum GPA of 2.8.
• Open to summer and year-round internship opportunities.
• Graduation date after July 2027.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Support underground gas storage, field piping, and wells.
• Assist with station piping, valves, regulators, and heat exchangers.
• Support withdrawal and injection processes and LNG-related steps.
• Assist CO2 removal and LNG liquefaction/vaporization processes.
