Job summary

Meijer is hiring a Gas Station Attendant in Grand Rapids, MI. You will provide fast, friendly service at the checkout lane and ensure accurate transactions while representing the Meijer brand with a positive attitude.

Responsibilities include using the cash register, answering questions, and building customer relationships to encourage repeat visits. Prior retail or cashier experience is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• Strong listening and communications skills, face-to-face and virtually.
• Willingness to learn or existing familiarity with job-specific technology.
• Problem-solving competence and eagerness to troubleshoot when necessary.
• Desire to work with customers.
• Previous retail or customer experience preferred but not required.
• Good verbal communication skills.
• Detail oriented and organized.
• Friendly outgoing attitude.
• Ability to operate cashier register system.

Core Hours: 6a-2p, 9a-5p, 2p-10p, 20-35 hours per week
5 to 7.5-hour shifts, full weekend availability needed
Previous gas station or cashier experience preferred

As a Gas Station attendant, you will craft quality customer experiences by providing efficient, effective customer service in the checkout lane that creates a positive and lasting impact on Meijer customers.

• Utilize technology to complete activities and tasks.
