Job summary

Meijer is seeking a Stocking Clerk to support store operations, stocking shelves, processing transactions, and assisting customers. The role includes food service tasks, pallet handling, and back-room duties to keep shelves full and organized.

You will learn technology tools, follow procedures, and work closely with leaders to ensure timely completion of tasks. Overnight shifts help ready the store for the next day and promote a smooth customer experience.

Qualifications

• Able to use basic technology and follow procedures.
• Organized and efficient in a fast-paced setting.
• Calm under pressure and productive in a team environment.
• Prior pallet jack or forklift experience is a plus.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Stock shelves with a variety of food, general merchandise and grocery products.
• Cash register.
• Training provided.
• Food Service Training provided.
• Move product from pallets or carts to correct shelf locations efficiently and accurately.
• Pull backstock and dispose of cardboard and trash in back-room areas.
• Work closely with leadership to ensure areas are completed on time.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Provide friendly, respectful interactions with customers when needed.
• Work overnight shifts to prepare the store for the day ahead.
• Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly.

What You’ll Do

As a Stocking Clerk, you play a critical role in keeping our store running smoothly. Your work ensures shelves are fully stocked for our customers to provide an exceptional shopping experience.

• Experience with pallet jacks or forklifts is a plus
• You have the ability to perform physical tasks, such as lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, twisting, pushing, pulling, and standing for extended periods
