Job summary

Black Hills Energy in Wichita, KS is seeking an HVAC Technician to safely repair and service domestic appliances covered under the Service Guard program. The role includes responding to gas-related calls, turning meters on/off, and installing new construction meters as needed.

Requirements include a High School diploma, a valid driver's license with clean driving record, up to 10% travel, and EPA Refrigerant Certification within 1 year of hire.

Qualifications

• Travel up to 10% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Promote safety in all company operations.
• Repair and service gas appliances under Service Guard program.
• Perform customer-facing service activities including meter work and leak investigations.
• Carry out utility line locating and meter investigations.
• Provide proactive assistance in resolving customer complaints.
• On-call rotation covering weekends and after hours.
• Read meters and maintain meter reading systems.
