Job summary

NextEra Energy is seeking a Project Manager to support E&C’s gas development activities, from early assessments through construction readiness and execution. This hands-on role sits at the intersection of Engineering, Construction, and Integrated Supply Chain, demanding ownership of cost and schedule risk with cross-functional alignment.

Ideal candidates will have strong project controls, EPC/EPCM familiarity, and experience managing owner reports and risk.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• 5–10 years of experience in energy project development or large capital construction.
• Demonstrated experience in project controls and schedule development for gas generation or major capital projects.
• Proven ability to manage Owner-level reporting obligations, including monthly and quarterly progress reports with schedule, cost, and risk content.
• Familiarity with EPC/EPCM project delivery models and contractor bid evaluation.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple concurrent work streams under competing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Support E&C participation in Technology Review, Preliminary Engineering phases, and contracting for active hub gas development projects.
• Coordinate E&C SME inputs for site configuration reviews, constructability assessments, and balance-of-plant evaluations including gas and electrical interconnection and switchyard scopes.
• Track development and regulatory milestones, ensuring construction-phase dependencies are identified and flagged early.
• Maintain project schedules, cost benchmarks, and cashflow models in support of project sanction decisions.
• Own and maintain the E&C risk register for hub projects, tracking scope, schedule, cost, and constructability risks across active work streams.
