Job summary

Energy Transfer is seeking a skilled plant operator to manage compressors, pumps, and related equipment across gas facilities and pipelines. The role emphasizes safe, efficient operation, adherence to procedures, and collaboration with control centers and project teams.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma, strong communication and organizational skills, and the ability to work in a 24/7 environment.

Qualifications

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a group environment.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Self-starter who can work independently and exercise good judgement.
Ability to work in a 24/7 operational environment, shift rotations, and perform call outs.
Must maintain a valid driver's license in state of residency.

Responsibilities

Operate, inspect, and maintain equipment and systems at plant facilities, including cryogenic plants, fractionation units, LNG facilities, engines and compressors, pumps, and related operations.
Seek to optimize processing by maintaining proper product specifications and responding to alarms.
Monitor pressures, temperatures, flow rates, and levels to achieve desired operating results.
Oversee safety programs, ensure regulatory compliance, and participate in operator trainings.
Communicate with control centers and other groups; supervise third-party construction or maintenance tasks.
May perform lab tests, diagnose mechanical issues, and carry out repairs as needed.
Comply with energy isolation LOTO procedures and environmental standards.
