Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a Co-op/Intern to manage the purchasing process for a defined set of goods, interfacing between suppliers and the entity to align with specifications and budgets. You will work to understand key business drivers and contribute to project work within the broader team.

The role focuses on PO management, RFQ generation, supplier collaboration, and ERP updates, with emphasis on rigorous process and data analysis in a large, multi-site organization.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Supply Chain.
• Demonstrated Project Management skills.
• Working knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in the US for an unlimited amount of time without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Place and follow up on Purchase Orders (POs) to suppliers.
• Generate RFQs (Request For Quotation).
• Manage relationships with suppliers for PO execution.
• Manage problems and schedule changes.
• Update Purchase Orders in ERP.
