Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a Field Engineering Intern to support the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of advanced power generation equipment. You will learn from experienced Field Engineers and gain hands-on experience in demanding industrial environments on customer sites.

This role requires active pursuit of an engineering degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Controls/Computer Engineering, a willingness to travel up to 100%, and the ability to work safely in challenging conditions. U.S.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's in Mechanical, Electrical, or Controls/Computer Engineering.
• Willingness to travel up to 100% to customer sites.
• Ability to work in physically demanding environments (e.g., elevated platforms, hot/cold conditions, industrial noise).
• Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Site support: assist with installation and commissioning of mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Troubleshooting: identify and resolve technical issues under guidance of lead engineers.
• Data & documentation: maintain detailed field reports and commissioning logs; support punch-list items.
• Safety compliance: adhere to site safety protocols and GE Vernova EHS standards.
• Collaboration: work with diverse crews to meet project milestones.
