Job summary

GE Vernova invites motivated engineering students to join as a Gas Power Co-op/Intern, gaining mentorship, hands-on design and analysis experience in power-generation systems.

You will work on projects spanning steam turbines, gas turbines, engines, and generators, with exposure to drafting and manufacturing collaboration. Enrollment in an engineering degree with a 3.0+ GPA is required and US work eligibility is mandatory.

Qualifications

• Must have one to two semesters left prior to graduation and be enrolled in a full-time undergraduate or graduate program in an engineering discipline.
• Eligible majors include Aeronautical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Material Science Engineering, Mechanical Engineering.
• Must have the ability to work in the United States for an unlimited amount of time without sponsorship.
• Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA (without rounding).
• Analytical approach to problem solving with a high degree of curiosity.
• Must be highly self-motivated and able to work under minimal supervision.
• Willingness to learn from others and learn from mistakes.
• Excellent organizational, written communication, and oral communication skills.
• Demonstrated leadership and team player.
• Desire to work in a fast paced and agile environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement new design concepts and design improvements.
• Work with the drafting team to create or update drawings.
• Partner with the manufacturing team to solve problems from complex manufacturing processes.
• Perform design and analysis of product lines in areas such as steam turbine, gas turbine, gas engines and generators.
