Job summary

Norco Inc. seeks a Fuel Gas Plant Supervisor to oversee the production crew at the Fuel Gas Plant in Boise, Idaho. You will ensure orders are filled and product is available for scheduled loads, and supervise acetylene plant operators.

You will ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, and other regulations, maintain safety in charging and generating rooms, and lead staff development. Strong supervision and training skills required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.
• Familiar with OSHA, DOT, and federal regulations.
• Experience with cylinders and gases.
• Ability to perform maintenance and repair on gas distribution systems used in the plant.
• Ability to perform basic mathematics calculations.
• Strong organizational and problem solving skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Good training skills.
• Detail oriented.
• Ability to supervise and manage personnel.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the activities of the production crew at the Fuel Gas Plant.
• Ensure orders are filled and product is available for scheduled loads.
• Ensure that Acetylene Plant Operators are trained, competent, and safe.
• Ensure all fuel gases are filled according to procedures and regulations.
• Identify and repair any fuel gas leaks immediately.
• Monitor and process customer owned cylinders promptly.
• Hire, discipline, and terminate staff as needed.
• Lead, train, develop, and motivate department employees.
• Perform other tasks as assigned or necessary.
