Job summary

Kinder Morgan, Inc. is seeking a facilities operator at the Houston Central Natural Gas Complex. You will perform operational duties across plant units, coordinate with control room staff, and uphold safety standards while supporting maintenance and E&C teams.

The role requires flexibility for shift work, driving responsibilities, and hands-on troubleshooting of pumps and related equipment. A high school diploma and a valid driver's license are required.

Qualifications

• Respond to callouts and emergencies during and after regular hours.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Customer focused; able to work with teams and management.
• Must pass drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

• Make changes throughout plant units for safe, efficient operations.
• Start/stop and operate pumps, compressors, coolers, expanders, chillers within parameters.
• Maintain communication with control room operators and shift leads.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations (LO/TO, Hot Work, JSA, etc.).
• Train and oversee personnel; perform troubleshooting on equipment.
• Create work tickets for repairs and assist maintenance and E&C teams.
• Complete weekly, monthly and yearly PMs and safety PMs.
• Conduct general housekeeping and document all activities.
