Chesapeake Utilities Corporation is seeking an Operations Technical Instructor I to design, coordinate, deliver, and evaluate training programs for gas operations. You will provide operator qualification training and ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT and PHMSA regulations.

The role requires 4+ years in the gas industry with strong operations experience, and 2+ years in coaching or training. Travel about 30% is expected, with the position based at Safety Town in Dover, DE though work may span our

Qualifications

• Provide training and coaching in operations and safety.
• Deliver instructor-led training and evaluations per OSHA, DOT and PHMSA.
• Explain technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
• Maintain training records and monitor qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Identify training needs and create new materials for operations, compliance, safety, and quality.
• Conduct instructor-led training for employees and contractors.
• Develop and revise training materials to stay current with policies and regulations.
• Maintain accurate training records and monitor operator qualification expirations.
• Evaluate student performance and training effectiveness.
• Provide technical assistance to operating divisions and external agencies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
